Chelate DOTA Peptides

DOTA is a chelating agent with high affinity for di- and trivalent cations and finds medical application as contrast agent and in cancer treatment. For example, DOTA is bound to radionuclides in peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) for the treatment of unresectable neuroendocrine tumors. However, DOTA can be coupled to various molecules and the resulting compounds are used with a number of radioisotopes in cancer therapy and diagnosis (for example in positron emission tomography).
JPT offers these DOTA agents with high affinity for somatostatin receptors, which are found on neuroendocrine tumours: DOTATOC (DOTA-(Tyr3)-octreotide or edotreotide) DOTA-TATE (DOTA-(Tyr3)-octreotate) DOTA-NOC (DOTA-[Nal3]-octreotide)
