SARS-CoV-2 B Cell Epitopes

Humoral immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is a crucial factor of immune protection.
Peptide microarray based analysis of antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 was performed in collaboration with University of Potsdam, KH Labor GmbH, and several local partners. Screening for antibodies was performed against the entire SARS-CoV-2 proteome as well as selected proteins of HCoV strains SARS, MERS, OC43 and 229E. While widespread cross-reactivity against HCoVs was revealed, several unique epitopes were identified. These may serve as capture antigens for future, highly COVID-19-specific diagnostic antibody tests.
