JPT Peptide Technologies
From the beginning, JPT was built around its proprietary ultra-high-throughput SPOT peptide synthesis technology. This platform enables the parallel production of exceptionally large numbers of peptides, from thousands per machine to millions per year. The peptides appear as blue dots on the SPOT membrane, a distinctive visual feature that inspired JPT’s original logo.
This capability became especially significant in the 2000s, following the completion of the Human Genome Project, when the scientific focus increasingly shifted from mapping genes to understanding proteins. In this context, JPT played an important role in the Human Proteome Sequencing Project, contributing peptide technologies that supported efforts to decode the human proteome.

is PepMix™, a peptide mixture designed to replace full-length proteins, which has become a gold standard for T-cell activation in vaccine research and clinical trials. Over time, JPT has expanded its portfolio to include peptide libraries such as PepTrack, peptides for proteomics
such as SpikeTides, immobilized peptides such as PepStar, and,
more recently, peptides for gene therapy, including Travirtide. During
the COVID-19 pandemic, JPT was highly active and once again became
the first provider of a critical reagent, the SARS-CoV-2 Spike PepMix,
which contributed to the rapid testing of vaccine efficacy.

Our Team
The JPT team comprises over 100 employees at its headquarters in Berlin and its office in the United States. More than 60% of our team has a scientific background, including over 20 PhD-level experts. Our technical operations team brings together specialists in peptide and organic chemistry, purification, analytical chemistry, data management, instrumentation, method development, and quality assurance. Our commercial team ensures careful project evaluation and management, as well as reliable after-sales technical support. Experienced in working with scientists from over 100 countries, our team speaks more than 10 languages and is dedicated to supporting customers worldwide.
