Identify Epitope-resolved Antibody Responses with Peptide Microarrays

Antibody response to SARS-CoV-2 plays an important role in protection against COVID-19. Therefore, reliable serological monitoring is instrumental in determining the success of vaccination, in gaining insight into seroprevalence in populations, and in learning more about the disease.
In a recent publication, using JPT’s PepStar™ Antigen Collection Pan-Coronavirus peptide microarray which displays the complete SARS-CoV-2 proteome as well as relevant common cold corona virus antigens, a widespread cross-reactivity was detected in several immunodominant antigen regions. Importantly, using combinations of selected peptides, a statistically significant discrimination between COVID-19 patients and controls could be achieved, allowing the selection of dedicated peptides for further development of peptide based assays.
