Catalog Proteomics Peptides & Kits
JPT offers a wide variety of off-the-shelf proteomics peptide sets and peptide pools for proteomics. Our catalog includes unlabeled and SIL peptides (stable isotope labeled peptides) for validation of PTM enrichment as well a for studying biological pathways or specific protein classes. We also offer absolute quantified peptide sets, as well as kits for control and standardization such as retention time calibration and collision energy normalization.

SpikeMix Peptide Pools and SpikeTides Sets
SpikeTides™ are an inexpensive, reliable source of light or stable-isotope-labeled peptides (SIL peptides or heavy peptides) for proteomics. Typical applications are the validation of identified peptides in shotgun experiments, SRM/MRM assay setup, and relative protein quantification using SIL peptides by mass spectrometry-based assays in targeted proteomics.
SpikeTides™ TQL are absolute quantified peptides, used as reference or peptide standard for protein quantification in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Our proprietary absolute peptide quantification (peptide quantitation) method overcomes the limitations of traditional methods such as limited accuracy and high cost. We use a small chemical tag to quantify SpikeTides TQL via HPLC-UV. This method is extremely robust, reproducible and accurate (variation CV= 5%) and has been validated in numerous peer-reviewed papers.
SpikeMix™ Peptide Pools are inexpensive and reliable. We are able to manufacture and pool stable-isotope-labeled peptides (SIL peptides) very cost-efficiently. They are used for peptide validation, SRM/MRM assay set-up and for relative protein quantification by mass spectrometry.
Proteomics Standards & Controls for Robust Assays
JPT has been providing the proteomics community with innovative peptide tools for many years. In addition to our SpikeTides and SpikeMix platforms, we have developed a variety of standardization kits and controls that support the quality control (QC) of proteomics experiments.- Retention Time Standardization Kit (PROCAL): Normalize retention times, optimize HPLC gradients & validate collision energies
- CamCheck Kit: Monitor the efficiency of carbamidomethylation.
- Proteomics Phospho Kit: Standardize phosphoproteomics workflows and retention times in phosphoproteomics experiments.
- TrypCheck Kit: Estimate the efficiency and reproducibility of tryptic sample preparation.
- SpikeMix™ ABRF (cross-species standard): A standard of proteotypic peptides across human, mouse and rat.
The Importance of Post-Translational Modifications
PTM proteomics presents several challenges, including low endogenous abundance and ionization intensity, altered fragmentation, limited stability during proteomics workflows, and complex spectra interpretation. Our defined and carefully selected synthetic PTM reference peptides support PTM proteomics. They help you to overcome these challenges and can be used directly as reference material in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Choose from kits containing peptide pools or individual peptides, quantified or non-quantfied peptides, and a variety of different PTMs.
