SP-MHCI-0012-2
The CMV pp65 341-349 peptide (QYDPVAALF) is a defined epitope derived from the immunodominant pp65 protein of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV). In contrast to the more commonly used A*02:01-restricted epitopes, this sequence enables analysis of CMV-specific CD8+ T cell responses in HLA-A*24:02 and HLA-A*23:01 contexts, making it particularly relevant for studies involving diverse donor populations.
The peptide sequence QYDPVAALF is used in T cell assays where alternative HLA restrictions are required to capture CMV-specific immunity beyond the most dominant epitopes. This makes it useful for immune monitoring workflows that aim to avoid bias toward a single HLA background or to expand coverage across cohorts.
The Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) 65 kDa phosphoprotein (pp65) Peptide is a high quality epitope peptide for stimulation of antigen-specific T cells in T cell assays such as ELISPOT, ICS, cytotoxicity or proliferation assays. The 65 kDa phosphoprotein (pp65) Peptide, H-QYDPVAALF-OH (Uniprot: P06725 aa: 341-349) from JPT is produced under strict quality control and quality management.

This peptide is typically selected when working with HLA-A*24:02 or HLA-A*23:01-restricted systems and when a broader representation of CMV-specific responses is required beyond the most dominant A*02:01 epitopes. It is particularly useful in studies involving diverse donor cohorts or population-level immune profiling.
It is less suitable if your experimental setup is optimized around HLA-A*02:01-restricted readouts or relies on highly immunodominant reference peptides such as NLVPMVATV. In those cases, alternative pp65-derived sequences may provide stronger or more consistent responses.
Do you need a scrambled version of this antigen peptide? We can produce scrambled versions for all our antigen peptides and other peptide sequences. These scrambled peptide versions are cross-checked against the Uniprot database to ensure that the scrambled sequence does not correspond to any natural sequence.
