Studying HPV Infections & Cancer: JPT updated its PepMix Peptide Catalog!

HPV is the most commonly sexually transmitted infection with more than 200 related viruses. Differentiating between low- and high risk HPV types, the latter are known to cause six types of cancer: anal, cervical, oropharyngeal, penile, vaginal and vulvar. In total, there are 12 high-risk HPV types: HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, and 59, with their early oncogenes E1 – E7, and capsid proteins L1-2 acting as tumor growth promoters.
