Peaking behind the Research Curtain: Discover the Possibilities of Modified Peptides!

Published on 18/09/2026

Sometimes, a peptide sequence is only the beginning.

Beyond immunization and proteomics assays, modified and specialty peptides offer a range of applications: a fluorescent label can turn a peptide into a tool for visualization. A biotin tag can enable capture and detection. Post-translational modifications can help researchers investigate complex biological processes, while cyclization, non-natural amino acids, isotope labels, and other modifications can open up entirely different experimental possibilities.

At JPT, we combine expertise in peptide synthesis with a broad range of specialty peptides and peptide modifications, enabling researchers to design peptides around the needs of their experiments.

But what do they look like in action?

Scientific publications provide some of the best examples. Across diverse areas of research, modified and specialty peptides are being used as tools for detection, quantification, interaction studies, assay development, structural investigations, and the exploration of biological mechanisms. Take a look at multiple examples of publications and papers having made use of our modified peptides.
