JPT's Peptide Tools to monitor the current Ebola outbreak in Uganda
Published on 01/11/2022
The European Center for Disease Control is currently closely monitoring a yet relatively small outbreak of Ebola in the Mubende District in Uganda. The outbreak is attributed to a strain belonging to a Sudan-type species. The licensed vaccines protect against disease caused by the Zaire ebolavirus (ZEBOV); however, vaccines protecting against the Sudan ebolavirus (SUDV) and data on the level of cross immunities are not available yet.
Our PepMix Peptide Pools are useful for a variety of applications to monitor and study the current outbreak:
- Antigen-specific T-cell stimulation in T cell assays (e.g. ELISpot, or proliferation assays)
- In-vitro T-cell expansion
- Cellular immune response profiling
- T-cell epitope identification
Our available catalog PepMix Peptide Pools:
- Sudan Ebolavirus (GP/Uganda-00)
- Tai Forest Ebolavirus (NP)
- Zaire Ebola (GP/Kikwit-95)
- Zaire Ebola (GP/Mayinga-76)
- Zaire Ebola (Virion Spike Glycoprotein)
