Kinase Specificity Profiling

JPT provides access to identification of substrates specific within a panel of given kinases. Substitutional analyses of either known substrates or substrates identified using JPT´s Kinase Peptide Microarrays will be immobilized onto glass slides. Resulting peptide microarray will be screened using your kinases of interest in the presence of radioisotopically labelled ATP followed by phosphorimaging. JPT will perform all experiments and will deliver a data report including experimental details, phosphorimages and analysis of results yielding specific substrates. Resulting substrates could be optimized in subsequent substitutional analysis experiment including non-proteinogenic amino acid residues.

Benefits of Kinase Specificity Profiling

  • Information about specific substrates available within days
  • Production of customized substitutional analyses on glass slides within less than 3 weeks
  • Optimizes surfaces and built-in quality controls
  • Small amount of sample needed (200 µL per peptide microarray)

Applications for Kinase Specificity Profiling

  • Identify key residues for effective kinase/kinase substrate interaction enabling prediction of kinase substrates
  • Find substrates specific for your target kinase
  • Optimize your known kinase substrate regarding stability, selectivity and catalytic constants
  • Learn more about your kinase by chemical introduction of other posttranslational modifications into sequences surrounding the phosphorylation site of your substrate
