Kinase Substrate Sets
One of the most efficient ways to study kinase activity and substrate specificity is incubating the kinase of interest with multiple substrate peptides in parallel. JPT Peptide Technologies' ready-to-screen Kinase Substrate Set is comprised of a total of 720 biotinylated kinase substrate peptides derived from human phosphorylation sites, which were carefully selected from the SwissProt and Phosphobase databases. The Kinase Substrate Set comes in two 384-well microtiter plates each containing 360 peptides (250 pmol per well). Subsequent to incubation with target kinase in the presence of radioactively labeled ATP, incorporated phosphate can be detected using strepavidine coated membranes, Flash-Plates or SPA-beads.
In addition to our general Kinase Substrate Set (sequence information) we are also offering defined sub-sets for:
- Tyrosine Kinase (sequence information) – peptides contain at least one tyrosine residue (145 peptides with a total of 370 Tyr)
- Proline-directed Kinase (Sequence information) - 207 peptide sequences containing at least one Ser-Pro or Thr-Pro motif.
